Ben Hurst

Ben Hurst holds space for people to have conversations; difficult, emotionally nuanced conversations.

Perhaps most at home in front of a rowdy group of young people, or fielding questions in an interactive workshop, ben has nearly a decade’s worth of experience working as a facilitator and a DEI consultant.

Ben’s particular specialism is the gendered stereotypes that men inhabit; he loves to help men to deconstruct and explore their own relationship to masculinity. But he also has a great deal of experience discussing race, class, the climate crisis - and intersectionality in general.

Online, most notably in his TEDx talks (‘Boys Won’t Be Boys. Boys Will Be What We Teach Them to Be’; and ‘We Need to Talk to Boys About Online Misogyny’), and in print (Stylist, Glamour, Marie Claire, Postscript, Positive News and many more), Ben has also made an impact. He is now the co-host of TEDx London’s Climate Curious podcast where he lifts the lid on the climate emergency by speaking to the world’s leading and most relatable climate pioneers.

Whatever the medium, wherever the arena, Ben hopes to provide men with the necessary emotional literacy and insights to move towards more positive outcomes for their communities - and themselves.

Ben is currently working on his first book.
