Melissa celebrates easy and affordable healthy food that everyone can enjoy as well to brighten up your mealtimes.

SHE BEGAN HER FOOD CAREER AS A PRIVATE CHEF FOR INTERNATIONAL ACTORS AND BANDS, INCLUDING TAKE THAT, AND HAS WRITTEN AND CO-WRITTEN FOUR BESTSELLING BOOKS PUBLISHED INTERNATIONALLY: THE ART OF EATING WELL, GOOD +SIMPLE, EAT HAPPY AND EAT GREEN.

This May, her latest cookbook Feel Good will be published, bringing you 100 easy and comforting recipes to help you feel your best, whether it's a quick dinner after a long day, cook-ahead lunches to see you through the week or a warming traybake for a cosy night in. These simple to make and affordable recipes with hopefully brighten up your mealtimes.

In Autumn 2019, she launched the Sustainability Sessions – an ongoing series of community panel discussions with experts from Anita Rani, Grace Dent and Skye Gyngell to Bryony Gordon, June Sarpong MBE, Matt Haig and Fearne Cotton. The sessions ranged from farming, travel and plastic pollution to mental health, fast fashion, green beauty and slow living with the aim to connect, empower and motivate our offline communities to make meaningful sustainable changes in our daily lives.

Melissa is a proud supporter of the food waste charity The Felix Project, and volunteers with them regularly to rescue surplus food and to cook for children and the vulnerable. She is an ambassador for Mental Health Mates, the Fairtrade Foundation and Women Supporting Women (The Princes Trust), among others.

She cooks, writes and tends her vegetable garden in Leytonstone, where she lives with her boyfriend Henry and their dog Nelly - as well as a steady stream of hungry diners, happily squeezed around her kitchen table.
